The Computer Operator is responsible for the proactive monitoring and primary level support of the centralized and distributed computer systems. Monitors and controls the operating systems, on-line applications and batch application processing, and all related hardware equipment.

Duties:

• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Technical problem-solving expertise
• Basic PC and Network hardware/software knowledge
• Technical knowledge of the hardware and software of IBM iSeries computers
• Ability to identify and resolve problems
• LAN Administration and security
• Strong verbal, writing and analytical skills for communication
• Able to interact positively with others.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate. Computer Science Degree or related experience
• Three (3) years of computer related operations
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Technical problem solving expertise
• Basic PC and Network hardware/software knowledge
• Technical knowledge of the hardware and software of IBM iSeries computers
• Ability to identify and resolve problems
