The Front Desk Relief Supervisor assists the Hotel Shift Manager or Hotel Shift Supervisor by effectively managing the hotel inventory and at times provides direction to the shift employees. Must be capable of supervising employees with varied experience levels and with varied backgrounds. The Relief Supervisor must maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Duties:

  • Supervise, evaluate, coach and counsel Front Desk staff.
  • Maintain and manage same day inventory
  • Ensure a warm and inviting reception area to ensure a positive and welcoming               experience for guests
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external guests.
  • Execute all shift reports.
  • Maximize revenue with suite upgrades and rate integrity.
  • Maintain front desk cash banks and keep proper inventory of all banks and logs.
  • Assist on the front line as needed.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook
  • Must be able to listen and respond to guest and employee inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies, procedures, rules and regulations to all front desk agents.
  • Assist with Hotel Night Audit ensuring accuracy and completion of tasks within allotted time.
  • Must be able to work independently and perform well under pressure

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum1 year Front Desk experience.
  • Minimum 2 years customer service required.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience listed above that provides  the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • AAA or Forbes rating knowledge
